    eBike Rear LED light

    $60.00

There's no more need to carry and charge an extra battery for your bike lights with these efficient and bright LED ebike lights.

This light hooks directly into your ebike battery, so whenever you have your ebike, you have your light. You don't need to carry multiple batteries, and worse, remember to charge them all! Your charging station will be simple - one large ebike battery and that's it.

    Bright, Rugged, Waterproof, and Efficient

The front light uses 8 super-bright LEDs molded into a hard epoxy casing. The lights are the brightest we've seen, comparable to car tail lights, so cars will see you at night. Yet, this little light is very efficient, only drawing 1 Watt of energy from your battery.

The casing is bomber tough and can withstand being crushed or ridden over without breakage. The electronics are completely potted in the casing, so they could be fully submerged in water and not be damaged. Those in wet climates will especially appreciate the significance of this, as you can forget about flaky connections and corroded wires.

    Compatible with virtually any ebike

The light has a built-in DC-DC converter, so it can run on any battery pack from 24V - 72V or higher (100V max). You can use them on different bikes, and go through battery pack changes and upgrades without ever needing a new light. The current draw from your bike is very small (varying from 50mA at 24V to 20mA at 72V), so you still get the range you expect from your battery.

    Convenient operation

A built in on/off switch lets you decide when the light is on, with on, off, and flashing mode. The light is designed with a curved groove in the bottom which fits around your seatpost, rack, or any curved part of your bike, and is secured with zip ties. No need for special mounting brackets. Light measures 41 x 21 x 21mm (1.6 x 0.8 x 0.8 inches).

    Connecting to your ebike system

The light comes supplied with bare wires for flexible installation options. For a simple solution, purchase our Anderson powerpole inline connector, which plugs inbetween the battery and controller. For those who like to work with their systems, other connection options include:

    • Anderson Powerpole Tap: Use a small screwdriver to remove the pins from the Anderson powerpole battery connector on your motor controller. Then solder thin wire leads to both the positive and negative leads pins, and press them back into the housing. You'll now have a tidy tap point into the motor controller power bus which can be connected to the bike light.
    • Cycle Analyst Tap: If your system already has a Cycle Analyst, then there is already the full battery power available at the handlebars and you can tap into this rather than running an additional wire down the bike. This approach will require opening the Cycle Analyst box, drilling a hole in the casing to feed the wire out, and soldering the wire to the battery power leads which you'll find connected to the pads labelled V+ and G.
    • Battery Charge Port: One possible location to access power from the battery pack without additional wiring is through the charging port for the battery. If you attach a 3-pin male XLR connector to the leads of the bike light, then this can plug into the charge connector on the battery pack for powering the lights up while you are riding.
