These durable metal connectors are frequently used on ebike batteries for charging. The female side (left image) is attached to the battery's charging leads, and the male side (right image) to the charger. Most batteries only use two of the three pins: Pin 1 = positive/red wire, Pin 2 = negative/black wire.

To install, first remove the top of the connector (pins or sockets), then slide the rest of the connector, rubber boot first, down onto the wires and out of the way. Solder the leads to the appropriate numbered barrels, and shield the connection with heatshrink tubing or electrical tape. Slide the connector back up the wire and fit the two halves together. Tighten the three small screws to secure.
