Morgan has degrees in Physics, Computer
Science, and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics. She has been an avid
cyclist since getting her first mountain bike in 1984. She loves to
tinker, and has built up many bikes from scratch since then. In
1994, she discovered the thrill and benefits of electric assist,
installing a "Zap" kit on her bike for a long commute in the
mountains of Utah. Having owned and tinkered with several different
electric bike kits, she continues to use and tinker with them 14
years later. Recently, with gas prices skyrocketing, concerns about
environmental impacts of cars, and concerns about the impacts of
dependence on imported oil, she wondered why more people hadn't
discovered the benefits of electric bikes and cargo bikes that can
carry stuff. She realized the main problem is that these
aren't being promoted and supported by the bike industry.
She decided to do something about it, and teaming up with Elise,
Cycle 9 was born. Morgan performs technical support and general
geekery for Cycle 9.
We
are located near Chapel Hill, NC, USA. We are excited to help both

Elise
runs the show at Cycle 9. She has enjoyed and used many bikes for
both recreation and commuting. She loves the outdoors, and until
recently worked as a biologist. She is excited about working with
people to help them use bikes as tools in their everyday
lives.
We
follow up local sales with a free adjustment, and all sales with
full warranty. For service and installation, we work with Jason
at Back Alley Bikes in
Chapel Hill.

We have more than 30 years of combined bike commuting experience,
and 15 years of electric bike experience. We apply that experience
